What is the cost of mentoring?
Running a premier mentoring organization comes with a price. Every child that we enroll into our program and every volunteer that we accept into our program has a cost associated with it.
This will give you an idea of the kind of expenses we have in order to run our mentoring program:
||the cost of a volunteer background check
||the expense of monthly safety contact for 4 children
||the expense of a volunteer interview and home visit
||the expense of a new parent & volunteer enrollment for one month
||the complete cost of processing a volunteer to match with a child
||the complete cost of enrolling and matching a child to a mentor
With that being said, we do not receive any government funding to support our program. All funds come from fundraising events, individual donations, grant awards, or endowment transfers. We count on the support from our community to fund our mentoring program that allow us to continue serving kids here in the Inland Northwest.
Donate now to get involved and help Big Brothers Big Sisters serve children in our community by matching them with a mentor! Click Here to make an individual donation online. Or click here if you would like to get involved with one of our fundraising events.
