OUR PROGRAMS

Big Brothers Big Sisters has a variety of volunteer opportunities available.

Matches come together through our two essential programs:

Community-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet for 2 to 4 hours / 3 to 4 times per month in their community to share fun activities … stories … and a little bit of themselves. Learn more...
Site-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet in schools, libraries and community centers, to talk and have fun. It’s not about being a tutor … it’s about being a friend. This program is currently enrolling mentors at Progress Elementary School, Grant Elementary School and Michael Anderson Elementary School only.

Many event volunteers are needed to help us raise money. This is how you can help:

Fundraising Event Campaign's Leadership Cabinet: Many dedicated volunteers are needed to help plan and raise funds through relationships for all of our events. If you have a lot of relationships within the community and/or are comfortable with calling on businesses for support, this would be a great way for you to get involved. Email your interest to mperea@northwestbigs.org.
Day of Fundraising Event Volunteers: It takes a lot of volunteers in order for all of our events to run smoothly. Some things that you might do is registration, greeting, handing out gifts, handing out food/beverages, taking photos, etc. If you are just looking to volunteer a couple hours, a couple times per year, this would be a great way for you to get involved.
